Notes:-Bit of a slog today. Funny week with a mix of positive and negative stuff. On the positive side I officially started my new director role today. Spent most of the day moving files for my old AHSN role and NAS. Did the IRLS visit on Monday which went very well. Was a bit of a swan song for me. I was really nervous about it but actually quite enjoyed the day. Tony had said the role was at VSM but when Mike asked me my current protected banding I said I was a 9. There’s no way this role is a VSM. Mike said he would struggle to get it through his HR banding at that level. I’m happy at a 9. So it’s a secondment until December by which time there will have been a formal recruitment. I’m happy with that. Kids also doing really well, Tom has nailed his BTEC and Harry has finished his end of year exams plus done his silver DofE. hayfever has also started to abate. Also looking forward to GnR tomorrow in Tottenham. Negative stuff is mainly worrying about poor Mum. She had to go to hospital on Monday to get treatment for an infected cyst . Doesnt look like she has been taking the antibiotics. Seems very confused so Sis and I have been trying everything to get her some help. Spent most of Tuesday in the phone to social care, district nurses and GP, mostly going round in circles. Got a result yesterday when the district nurse team called me back. They will assess mum next week. Feel awful going behind her back but this needs to happen and she has to accept some basic help otherwise she will be back on hospital with something worse.
